Pastor Debbie Hornsby
With a passion for the lost, a desire to empower women, and an open-arms method of mentorning today's youth, Debbie Hornsby is always ready to meet people at the point of their need... with love and compassion. This wife and mother of three serves others with a contageous joy & excitement!

  • Debbie Hornsby had an encounter with God as a teenager, but like so many of us, she was unable to stay the course.  Throughout her teenage years, and as a young adult, she would struggle with various challenges, including: alcohol abuse; drugs; an eating disorder; and a basic lack of self worth.
  • Then at the age of 27, there alone in her bedroom, she cried out to God... and He came in like a flood! Everything she had ever been taught about Him began to find its way back to her memory, and in that moment she realized the futility of trying to live this life on her own terms. That would be the day she surrendered her life completely to The One who could handle the mess she had made of her life.
  • Following her mountain-top-experience with the Creator of all things, this single mom found a church and dove into the Christian life. Healing and restoration would come quickly, and within a year of her decision to follow Christ, she would be at the altar, saying her marriage vows, and starting a new life with her husband, Gary.

  • Debbie serves the Lord wholeheartedly with a passion for the lost and hurting of this world. She has furthered her education gaining a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling as well as meeting the requirements in becoming an ordained minister with the Foursquare Organization. She has partnered for the last seven years in birthing The Rivers Edge Church with her husband, Gary, and she is a mother of three sons: Justin; Jacob; and Luke.

  • Wearing many hats, Pastor Debbie has walked as: Youth Pastor; Teacher; Administrator; and Women's Leader. She is actively involved in her community through service to various homeless shelters and her most recent project establishing a program to help those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. Her passion is to help build a House of God that is in love with the purposes of God.
  • Debbie's favorite quote...

“ We can do no great things, only small things with great love.”

~ Mother Theresa
